Bantu Rovers goalie moves to Highlanders
BULAWAYO – HIGHLANDERS Football Club have secured the services of Bantu Rovers goalkeeper Takunda Mutanga on a permanent transfer.
Mutanga replaces Liberty Chirava, wow as dropped after falling foul of the club’s rules and regulations after he refused to wear the club’s regalia during a pre-season trip to Victoria Falls and refusing to eat with his new teammates.
Highlanders CEO Ndumiso Gumede confirmed the development adding that Mutanga will be registered for the 2015 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) season alongside veteran goalkeepers Arial Sibanda and Njabulo Nyoni.
The last slot in the Bosso team has been reserved for leftback Julius Daudi, who has been playing in Namibia for FNBX1. They are now waiting for a reverse international clearance from the Namibia Football Association.
In return, Bantu Rovers managed to get Bosso junior midfielder Chidzani Malaba on a permanent deal.
Tshintsha Guluva’s general manager Wilbert Sibanda confirmed Mutanga’s move saying it was a swop deal with Highlanders junior midfielder Chidzani Malaba, who has permanently moved to Bantu Rovers. – New Zimbabwe
