Makepekepe heads out for historic African clash
May 09 2017 – CAPS United will jet out to Egypt tomorrow afternoon for their CAF champions league group stages clash against Zamalek.
The Zimbabwe premier league champions qualified for the champions league mini league for the first time in their history when they knocked out five time African champions TP Mazembe.
“We are leaving tomorrow at 1.40pm”, says Chitima.
However, CAPS United, who usually extend a goodwill hand to assist some of the travelling fans with subsidised fees, have said there were no arrangements yet.
“There is nothing yet at the moment for the fans,” says Chitima.
United’s troops have been boosted by the availability of veteran striker and last season’s premier league golden boot award winner, Leonard Tsipa, who had not been registered for the initial stages of the competition. – Soccer 24
