Mapeza new Warriors coach
March 21 2017 – FC Platinum head coach, Norman Mapeza, has been appointed interim head coach of the Zimbabwe national soccer team.
Mapeza’s appointment was officially announced by the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) in a statement Tuesday evening.
The Warriors have been without a coach since Callisto Pasuwa’s contract was not renewed following their AFCON 2017 campaign.
His first assignment will be the Warriors friendly clash against Zambia at the National Sports Stadium during the international break this weekend.
Mapeza’s assistants are set to be unveiled later today on Wednesday at a press conference where the squad to face Zambia will also be announced. – Soccer 24
