RELIABLE sources say Â that Vice President Joice Mujuru tendered her resignation to President Robert Mugabe today, Monday afternoon, reports online news website ZimEye.
ZimsinSA could not at the time make independent investigations of whether this is true but the website adds that Mugabe however turned it down saying that she â€œmust take responsibility of what she started,â€ one of the sources said.
At the time of writing, further details were not available together with the exact declared reasons for the â€˜resignationâ€™.
Attempts to obtain clarification on the latest incident however were slowed down after the Presidentâ€™s office hung up on several telephone calls made Monday afternoon, reports ZimEye.
Earlier last month ZimEye exclusively revealed that President Mugabe had pinned down Â Mujuru on so called secret tapes in which a voice said to be hers is heard audibly saying that Mugabe has overstayed his welcome and is resting on his faeces(literally translated).
