Price freeze on Kalula online bookings

Price freeze on Kalula online bookings

kulula.com on Monday (today) introduced a 24-hour “price freeze” facility for customers when booking their flights online to stop fare increases based on rising demand.

Operated by Comair, kulula.com is a privately-owned low-fare airline, which runs more than 412 flights a week across 14 domestic routes.

kulula.com marketing manager, Bridgette Ramuluvhana, said the “price freeze” facility would offer the convenience of securing a ticket at the price available at the time of booking, while customers finalise their travel plans.

Ramuluvhana said kulula.com sold tickets at the lowest available fares to travellers at the time of booking, and seats sold out according to demand, which made prices increase gradually.

“We know what it’s like trying to book a ticket at the lowest price while also trying to confirm your travel plans with friends and family. Price Freeze helps you avoid that. You just select it on the kulula.com site when making a booking,” Ramuluvhana said in a statement.

“Instead of paying for your booking immediately, you can simply choose to hold the booking for up to 24 hours, giving you valuable time to confirm plans with family or friends.”

Ramuluvhana said the new facility was a great time-saver for a fee of only R50 per person per booking, adding that she hoped it would prove popular with customers. – ANA
