Swaziland based Zim goalie to replace Meyiwa at Pirates?
SWAZILAND-based Zimbabwean goalkeeper Ndodana Sibanda has been linked with a move to Orlando Pirates.
Pirates are in need of a keeper after the tragic death of their captain and South African national team shot-stopper Senzo Meyiwa.
According to reports from Swaziland, Pirates scouts were in Eswatini last weekend to watch Ndodana, who plays for Moneni Pirates, as well as Wanderers’ goalkeeper Sandile Ginindza.
Ndodana saw his side beaten 4-1 by Mbabane Highlanders, although he was reportedly not to blame for any of the goals.
Ginindza, meanwhile, saw his team recording a 3-0 win over the Sea Birds.
“Both players looked good with their performance on Sunday and should get feedback from Pirates soon. It is expected that by the end of the week the two players will be informed about their fate,” a source told the Swazi Observer.
Ndodana represented Railstars, Lancashire Steel, Shooting Stars and Highlanders in Zimbabwe. In South Africa he played for Garankuwa United and FC AK in the second tier. – SUPERSPORT
