Top DJs at MTN 8 semi finals
September 8 2017 – WHILE football will remain the main attraction this weekend, MTN together with the Premier Soccer League have lined up some of the country’s top musicians and music disc jockeys (DJ) as part of the entertainment package at the MTN8 semi-final fixtures.
The pre-match and half-time entertainment include the likes of DJ Tira, OKMalumKoolkat, Four Four and many others who will be performing live as part of an initiative to cater to a wider audience during the MTN8 competition.
The first MTN8 semi-final fixture will be at the Harry Gwala Stadium where Maritzburg United will be hosting SuperSport United in a return leg on Saturday, 09 September 2017. Kick-off is at 20h15. The first leg ended with 1-1 draw – with Maritzburg United staging a late comeback.
The crowd in Maritzburg will be entertained by the legendary DJ Tira and new ‘Gqom music’ group, Four Four.
On Sunday, Benni McCarthy’s Cape Town City travel to Milpark in Johannesburg to play Gavin Hunt’s Bidvest Wits. The first leg gave Cape Town City a 1-0 advantage.
Hip hop heavyweight, OKMalumKoolkat will be the main music act at Bidvest Stadium and will perform hit tracks such as Gqi and Amalobolo.
Tickets for both fixtures are still available at TicketPro outlets including Edgars, Jet, CNA and Postnet. – ANA
