February 2 2017 – TWO Zimbabwean men have been arrested in connection with house robbery in Worcester, says Western police on Thursday (today).
Spokesperson, Captain FC van Wyk, said on Wednesday, at around 10.30am, police responded to a house robbery incident at Bergsig and arrested two Zimbabwean men who were allegedly involved in the incident.
It is alleged that the two men, aged 38 and 40, threatened the owner of the house with a firearm to open the house.
“The suspects took her cellular telephone and an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene, after which they were arrested and the stolen goods recovered,” says van Wyk.
Both men are expected to appear at Worcester Magistrate’s Court on Friday, on a charge of robbery. – ANA
