Zims, celebs and politicians mourn Top Billing presenter Simba Mhere as Bojo Mujo dies

January 31  2015  – ZIM’s Top Billing presenter Simba Mhere  has died in a tragic accident on the N3 North near the Marlboro offramp this morning according to reports.

The SABC tweeted that he died in an accident in the early hours of Saturday morning, reports TimesLive

Mhere , joined the Top Billing team in 2010 after winning the presenter search.

Eight people died in the crash on the N3 North near the Marlboro offramp, ANN7 reported. Some victims have been airlifted from the scene.

Meanwhile Sapa reports that the Inkatha Freedom Party said it was saddened by the death of television presenter Simbarashe “Simba” Mhere who died in a car accident in Johannesburg on Saturday.

“Mhere was a talented young presenter who won the hearts of all those who watched him on Top Billing and other shows. His passing will leave a void in the SABC that will be difficult to fill,” said chairman Blessed Gwala in a statement.
“He was a charismatic personality who was a true professional in the broadcasting industry.”

Meanwhile  SA DJ, singer and producer passed away in the early hours of this morning.

Details of his passing were unclear at the time of going to press but many Zimbabweans and South Africans  knew him for his song Thando Lwam (Marry Me), which became  a very popular wedding song.
