August 28 2017 – ONE Zimbabwean and several were injured in the early hours of the morning of the 27th August, when a man jumped on stage, took the microphone and announced that his cell phone had been stolen.
He then pulled out a gun and started randomly firing at the artists on stage and into the audience, when no one responded.
At the time of going to press the suspect who fled the scene, is yet to be arrested, but is said to have been Zimbabwean and was wearing a white sweater written Uzzi, meanwhile the deceased has been identified as Allen Percy Ndlovu (26).
The injured who are also all Zimbabweans were rushed to the nearby Charlotte Maxeke hospital are nine and are Annie Ncube, Forget Ncube, Witness Mpofu, Samuel Ndlovu, Buyile Nkumo, Alex Savanna and Agrippa Chau.
The show was featuring Zimbabwean artists.
Eleven spent 9mm cartridges were found at the theatre afterwards.
