WITH top Zimbabwean striker Knox Mutizwa having already signed for South Africa’s Bidvest Wits, media reports suggest that his Highlanders FC teammate King Nadolo could be coming to Mzansi for trials to land a deal with a unnamed PSL club.
Although there hasn’t been any official confirmation regarding Nadolo’s triasl in the PSL, reports say that Mamelodi Sundowns is one of the clubs that have been made aware of the player’s availability.
Nadolo is a skillful midfielder whose high work-rate has made him one of the most influential players for the Zimbabwean Premier League outfit.
Contacted for comment, Nadolo’s agent Gibson Mahachi says that there is currently no official invitation letter on his desk for the player’s trial.
“Yes, for Knox Mutizwa we have finalised the deal. He is a Wits player. About King Nadolo… He is a talented youngster. We haven’t got anything confirmed yet. We don’t have anything official. But the boy is brilliant. The thing is we don’t have anything official, but we just hear about interest in him. Maybe that’s because it’s still early days with the league (season) there (PSL) coming to an end. We also hear stories the same way you hear them,” said Mahachi.
But Highlanders CEO, Ndumiso Gumede, confirmed that there was external interest in for Nadolo, although he wouldn’t say which teams they were.
“I’m not too sure whether I should tell you that, but we have an exciting young player called King Nadolo. There are some South African clubs interested to sign him. But I won’t tell you the names of the clubs,” said Gumede. – Laduma
